Management Accountant

Our client , a Group subsidiary of a manufacturing organisation;  is an established business that offers a variety of products globally. They require an experienced management accountant to join the Finance team to support the FD in the finance function and to maintain financial policies and management information systems. This is a permanent position, based on site for a full-time working week Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours ( 8:30am -5pm). Excellent benefits package.

• Ensure accurate and timely production of the month-end management accounts for the UK subsidiary (includes P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflows)
• Produce Variance reports and analysis of the results.
  
• To provide financial information and analysis as required to various other departments within the wider business
  
• Support the budgeting and forecasting Process
  
• To complete Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly.
  
• To complete rolling cashflow forecasts
  
• To ensure the accuracy of all intercompany balances
  
• To complete ONS and VAT returns as required
  
• To prepare the monthly payroll
  
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations and legislation.
  
• Assisting with Year End Accounts and external audit
• Ad hoc duties as required and instructed by the FD

• Newly qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - if part-qualified, you will be actively studying for your qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of management accounting
  
• Technically competent
  
• Commercially aware with a natural curiosity regarding the numbers and a willingness to influence the decision-making process
  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with people at all levels
  
• Excellent eye for detail as well as being able to see the bigger picture
  
• Manufacturing background (advantageous)
  
• Systems literate and good Excel skills
