MA are delighted to be partnering with a well-established £60m food & beverage manufacturing business to recruit a Head of Finance / Chief Accountant.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly successful, family-owned manufacturing business with a long-established heritage, strong market reputation and well-recognised brands.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and shareholders, this is the No.1 finance role within the business.The role offers genuine breadth and autonomy, combining responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the finance function with the opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest level of the organisation.
It would suit a hands-on Finance Director, Head of Finance or Financial Controller who enjoys operating close to the business whilst having a direct impact on its future direction
The role is office based in London five days per week.

Role Details
- Lead and develop the finance team.
- Take ownership of the monthly management accounts process and reporting timetable.
- Provide financial insight and support to the Managing Director and shareholders.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
- Manage year-end statutory accounts and external audit processes.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance and reporting procedures are maintained.
- Oversee working capital, stock and inventory reporting.
- Review and consolidate financial information from overseas operations where required.
- Drive improvements to systems, reporting and finance processes.
- Act as the senior finance leader across the organisation
Skills Required
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience leading a finance function within a manufacturing, food & beverage, FMCG, engineering or similarly operational business.
- Strong management accounts, statutory reporting and audit experience.
- Experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Commercially aware with the ability to support operational decision-making.
- Hands-on, proactive and comfortable operating within an owner-managed environment.
